ALAMAR: Jorge has only a few weeks with his five-year-old son Natan before he leaves to live with his mother in Rome. Intent on teaching Natan about their Mayan heritage, Jorge takes him to the pristine Chinchorro reef, and eases him into the rhythms of a fisherman’s life. As the bond between father and son grows stronger, Natan learns to live in harmony with life above and below the surface of the sea.    SERES GENESIS: Based on the wildly successful Mexican graphic novel published by Huma Comics. When a young girl is found amid the wreckage of an accident caused by an alien craft, Mariel (Alejandra Barros), head of a secretive task force investigating the paranormal, must solve the riddle of a frightening message the girl delivers which suggest humanity is on the verge of extermination by a hostile alien force. 90 min.    DEPOSITARIOS: In the bleak future Mexico depicted in “Depositarios,” advances in genetics and technology have eliminated all physical and psychological suffering. This is accomplished by means of remotely filtering negative sensations through surrogate human beings artificially cloned and warehoused for this purpose in storage vats. Detective Mario Cabal (Gustavo Sanchez Parra) investigates the case of a beautiful young woman (Alejandra Ambrosi) whose “depositario’” or cloned surrogate, has been abducted by a jilted ex-boyfriend (Cesar Ramos). When Mario discovers the kidnapper has awakened the clone in the hopes of reuniting with his beloved, the detective begins to question whether the clones are devoid of consciousness, as largely believed. He begins to have second thoughts about condemning to life in a storage vat the second, cloned fetus his wife is carrying to term along with their unborn daughter. 110 min. Screening times are: Fri, Wed, Sun. at 1:45 & 8:30 pm, Thurs, Sat, Mon. at 11:30 am & 6:15 pm and Tuesday at 4 pm.
